Jerome Favier

Jerome qualified from Lyon University in France in 1997. After working in mixed practice, he came to England in 2006 and has worked in small animal practice since. He loves walking and cycling in the lake district and the Pyrenees in France, but his passion is cooking meals for his family. He has 2 rescue dogs and 3 rescue cats.

Tony Gilbert

Tony is our senior veterinary surgeon, he qualified in New Zealand but has worked in the UK since 1992, and at Pinewood since 1994.His interests lie in first opinion surgery.

Angela Spar

Angela graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2002 and spent the next 16 years working in New York in small animal practice. In 2016 she moved back to the UK and joined the team at Pinewood Veterinary Practice.

Angela lives with her husband and 2 children and has 2 dogs, 2 cats and 4 chickens who keep the staff at Pinewood supplied with eggs!

When not at work, she will usually be found hiking in the hills with her dog Winnie or gardening at home or in her local community memorial garden.

Sophie Macintosh

Sophie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2022 and has been with Pinewood since. Outside of work Sophie likes to travel and can often be found hiking or running with her dog Luna or in the gym.

Hannah Broderick

Hannah graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2025 and has been with Pinewood since.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys baking and pottery, as well as going on walks in the local countryside.

Laura Phillips

Laura is our Head Veterinary Nurse and clinical coach for our students. She qualified in 2016 and started at Pinewood at the age of 14 volunteering. Laura enjoys anaesthesia and monitoring patients in theatre and she loves cats, she has 3 naughty ones at home called Archer, Koda and Rory.

Fiona Macdonald

Fiona qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2007 from Myerscough College, graduating with a BSc(Hons) in Veterinary Nursing and has been at Pinewood since May 2015. She is our deputy head nurse and also clinical coach for our students.

Lesley Gordon

Lesley is a Registered Veterinary Nurse and has worked at Pinewood since 2001, qualifying with distinction in 2004. She is our Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse. She is also a clinical coach for the student veterinary nurses.

Amy McGovarin

Amy has been qualified since 2012 from myerscough college, and has been with the practice since 2015. She is a Senior Veterinary Nurse, clinical coach and care plan coordinator.
Amy has an interest in anaesthesia and surgical procedures. Amy has two rescue dogs Freyja and Lucie that keep her busy.

Jodie Mcguinness

Jodie started as a Student Veterinary Nurse at Pinewood in 2021 and became fully qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2024. She also has a pet dog named Sky.

Sharon Seddon

Sharon started working at Pinewood 5 years ago as a receptionist. After a few years she took the opportunity to do an animal nursing course, which she passed with a distinction. She love animals especially dogs and she currently has a cross breed who is 10years old called Bolt, and chihuahua called Gino who is under 1.

Lydia Cooke

Lydia is a qualified and registered veterinary nurse with over 25 years of experience in animal care, nursing, and practice management. She joined the Pinewood team in November 2023, bringing a passion for organisation, efficiency, and exceptional client service. As our Practice Coordinator, Lydia oversees a wide range of administrative and operational tasks, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic. Outside of work Lydia enjoys spending time with her family.

Jackie Such

Jackie has been at Pinewood Veterinary Practice since December 2017 starting as a receptionist & progressing to head receptionist.

She has two DSH cats in the family called Simba & Nala. Brother & sister with two very different personalities but equally special.

Also soon to welcome a lovely Maine Coon cat called Tabatha.

Julia Aspinall

Julia is our Saturday receptionist and has worked at Pinewood since 2021. She has two grown up daughters and a rescue cat called Stanley. In her spare time, Julia loves to travel and she’s a member of a ladies pool team.

Sandra Schofield

Sandra has been at Pinewood for more years than she cares to remember! In her spare time she can be found on the golf course or looking after her granddaughter.

Paula Osborne

Paula has been with Pinewood since January 2023 as a receptionist, she has a keen relationship with the clients & their pets, she has 3 cats, 2 girls called Kensi & Kono & a boy called Kasper.

Yvonne Oldfield

Yvonne has been with us since 2018 and works at our Coppull Branch.
